Carrot Top Smoothie

Do you carrot all about food waste? Add your carrot tops to smoothies to add a nutritious, vitamin-packed component.

Ingredients

  • 244 g (1 cup) of Milk Alternative 100%
  • 113.5 g (1/2 cup) of Yogurt (made from excess dairy) 46.52%
  • 90 g (1 1/2 cups) of Carrot Tops 36.89%
  • 75 g (3/4 cup) of Frozen Apple Pieces 30.74%
  • 73 g (1/2 cup) of Frozen Carrot Pieces 28.92%
  • 69 g (3/4 cup) of Frozen Grapes 28.28%
  • 42 g (2 tablespoons) of Local Honey 17.21%

Directions

  1. In MX1200XTX (or MX1300XTX) X-Prep Blender, combine tops, alternative milk, yogurt, and honey in the blender jar. Purée until smooth.
  2. On medium speed, add frozen carrots, apples and grapes. Purée until smooth increasing speed if necessary. Thin with extra alternative milk if needed.
